RBIMBS Grand Champion ‘PR’ Naitok's Solar Storm, a.k.a Tiny, is Kona's Kennelette's Foundation Girl born 4/24/06 with beautiful brown eyes and the
blackest-black coat we've seen yet. She came to us in June of 2006 from Naitok's Kennel in
Bakersfield, CA. We thought for sure that she was going to be a toy because
she was such a small puppy, but
she's a mini now. Her Sire is CH ‘PR’
Wild West’s Trigger of Alasco, and her dam is CH ‘PR’ Paw Prints' Nakita.

Storm is currently working on a United Weight Pullers (UWP) title. She earned her first two legs of three needed at her first Weight Pull event in March 2008. She had to sit out for the pull in June, as her first litter was born, but she's excited to get back to training and finish off that title! She is a natural weight puller, which was a complete surprise to us- we were certain that Kona was going to be our puller, but Storm proved that she's our pulling Super Star!
Storm
received her Grand Champion, a first for our Kennelette, on 9/23/2007 finishing up a wonderful weekend.
She showed exceptionally well and we are very proud. She completed all 4 of
her legs needed to be a Grand Champion, winning the Champion Class for all 4
shows, winning Best of Breed twice, taking home a Group three and a Group
one, and toping it all off with a Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Show! I doubt
that another weekend will be close to toping this one for a while. The
Alaskan Klee Kai breed, as well as Storm were complimented nicely by all the
judges who have been judging since the breed was accepted to UKC in the late
90's. They were excited to see how far the breed has come in such a short
time in conformation and temperament. Big Thanks to NLAEDA, Judges Mr. and
Mrs. Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Orwin, for a great show, and for clipping right
along!

Storm
received her Champion on 7/14/2007, winning a Best of Breed and Group 2- We
are so proud of her!! On the second day of this show, 7/15/2007, Storm took
the Champion class, Best of Breed, and a Group One! This was her first time
in the Best in Show ring, and she completed one leg towards her Grand
Champion- The judge told everyone that they had nice dogs, but that the
winner of the Champion Class was a "Perfect Example of the Breed"- Thank you
Sir!
Storm
is a Frisbee fanatic! She can dominate the entire yard and manage up to 4
Frisbees at a time. She may be only 15 inches tall, but she runs very fast,
and has springs for legs. Kona plays along once in a while, but with Storm's
speed and determination he doesn't get the chance too often. Instead Kona
tries to bring me the toy with Storm still attached. Since she loves playing
keep-a-way from Kona and everyone else, I guess he figures that he won't get
to play otherwise. Other than playing Frisbee, her next favorite activity
has anything to do with water - lawn sprinklers, garden hose water, rain,
puddles, or a near empty water dish will find her. At the moment she hasn't
figured out that water cannot be caught, so she usually gets quite wet.
Storm
has such a fun personality and always finds a way to make us laugh.
Sometimes she doesn't even know what she is talking about, but has plenty to
say. She loves any treats that Kona may have, and since she was a puppy has
simply taken them out of his mouth to claim as her own. Kona got the hint,
and has learned to politely switch treats, or protect his prize better (no
growling over treats in our home). They adore each other and share
everything - water and food, toys, each other's crates, their big red
pillow, and window seat. They even play tug with each other and are pretty
equally matched.
